Special Situation Survey

Started by Malcolm Forbes in 1954, the Forbes Special Situation Survey is one of the oldest continuously published investment newsletters on the market. Each month, our subscribers receive a 10-page research report recommending just one undervalued stock that our analysts believe holds the promise for significant capital appreciation over the next 18 to 24 months. Our recommendations are based on thorough fundamental research. We rely primarily on a discounted cash flow methodology using conservative assumptions about future growth and profitability. In addition to the monthly recommendations, our subscribers receive periodic follow-up reviews stating our current opinion of the stock. Most importantly, we notify subscribers when it is time to sell.

At any one time, there are typically 10-20 stocks on our recommended list. This concentrated investment approach has proven extremely profitable. According to the independent investment newsletter rating service Hulbert Financial Digest, the Special Situation Survey is ranked #1 (out of 112 tracked) over the ten year period ending December 31, 2012 with an average annual portfolio return of 17.7%. The comparable return on the S&P 500 Index during the same period was just 5.0%.   Read More...

Testimonials

"I have been a subscriber for many years because I find that the Special Situation Survey recommendations have been very profitable for me."

-George B., RI

"If you want to find 'profitable' stocks to buy and do not have the time or expertise to do your own research, this is the service for you. It not only recommends which stocks to buy but also suggests when it's time to sell and move on to another investment!"

-Robert B., UT
